Why Organic Cotton Matters

Unlike synthetic fabrics, organic cotton is naturally breathable and exceptionally soft against sensitive skin. During recovery and beyond, it helps reduce heat buildup and provides lasting comfort without the stiffness and irritation often found in synthetic materials.

For women recovering from breast surgery, these qualities can make a meaningful difference. Long after healing is complete, many women continue wearing BraLisa because the comfort lasts.

Organic cotton also benefits the environment. It is grown without the toxic synthetic pesticides and fertilizers commonly used in conventional cotton farming, protecting farm workers, nearby communities, and ecosystems from harmful chemical exposure.

What Healthcare Providers Are Saying

“We love the design. It’s a pretty and comfortable post-surgical bra that can be worn as a nocturnal support bra as the patient transitions into tolerating more containment.”

What Recovery Feels Like in BraLisa

“This is the first time I have worn a bra in a month since going through radiation after a double mastectomy. I didn’t even realize I still had it on until I went upstairs to shower. I was shocked that I had not snatched it off and slung it somewhere.”

Second Stage Breast Cancer Recovery (3–6 Weeks Post-Surgery)

After breast cancer surgery, recovery happens in stages.

In the early stage, high-compression garments are often required. They support the surgical site, reduce swelling, and help prevent fluid buildup.

As healing progresses, usually around 3–6 weeks after surgery, incisions begin to heal and the need for firm compression often decreases. At this point, a different type of support is called for.

BraLisa is ideal for this second phase of recovery. Its moderate compression provides support without excess pressure or stiffness, helping the body’s healing process.

Limited mobility makes a front closure essential. Breathable fabric and gentle seams are equally important.

BraLisa offers the right balance of support, comfort, and ease.
